I studied studio art in undergrad and put it aside to pursue a career. After leaving the practice of law in 2006, I started painting again. Ergo, I founded KellBell designs. What started with only hand painted gift items has evolved into so much more over the years. I simply love bringing joy (and oftentimes whimsy) into someone’s life with my artistic work.

Losing my late husband to cancer in 2015, as well as my education as a Psychology major studying human behavior, have helped me better understand how we, as humans, can easily get attached to material things. In some cases, grief, guilt or confusion may cause people to develop an attachment to something that doesn't actually hold true value to them. This often can result in carrying the burden of unnecessary clutter. Each time I moved, I carried with me a heavier load. I believed it wasteful to get rid of anything with a potential use. Ironically, I actually was wasting time, money, energy, "real estate", and mental space by moving unnecessary "clutter". I never realized how much of a burden this became until I really looked at it. More recently, I took the time to evaluate the things I was holding on to that belonged to my late husband. I found peace in letting go of several items that I finally acknowledged he would't even want us to hold on to.
While loss is different in everyone's case (be it a divorce, loss of a loved one, becoming empty-nesters), I use my experience to help others determine what they truly value and what actually may be weighing them down. While it may seem intimidating or scary, it is incredibly liberating. Try it!

Prior to adding organizational services to Kellbell designs, I found that I was providing much more than "paintbrush" services when my artwork took me into clients' homes, as I was often asked to help create a happier environment overall (this included a lot of clearing the clutter to give "inspiration" more room and using or displaying cherished items.) My clients found that help to be invaluable and, well, I found it incredibly fulfilling to help on that level. My Ah-Ha moment!
My desire to be organized began at a young age as I grew up with FIVE brothers. So, I know MESS. (Your stuff can't scare me!) Thus, I learned the importance of labeling items so they didn’t get lost, misplaced or (in my case) stolen by a sibling! I also learned the art of stretching a dollar (my frugality converts into cost savings for you) and the value in re-purposing items already owned. These skills have helped me not only serve my clients but also teach my kiddos how to stay organized. Are you ready to make some changes?
